Abstract

This article aims to highlight the poet's skill in dealing with alliteration in the poem. To highlight the poet's ability to deal with alliteration well, the researcher followed the descriptive and analytical method. Accordingly, the article reached a number of results, including: that the poet excelled in dealing with alliteration in the poem for the purpose of attracting the reader’s attention and stimulating his thinking, so that he can realize the difference in meaning between two words that are similar in pronunciation but have different meanings. The article proved that alliteration is one of the wonderful improvements that the poet used to convey the meaning to the mind of the recipient with ease. Accordingly, this article suggests researchers to study alliteration and its role in developing the verbal meaning of so-and-so’s poem as a model.
